New Board Takes Control of St. Louis Schools

June 15, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

The new governing board of Missouri’s largest school district took over operations at one minute past midnight. The Chief Executive Officer of the new board says Superintendent Diane Bourisaw will keep her job but the school district’s law firm is being dismissed.

CEO Rick Sullivan says he will not accept a salary for the job although he’s entitled to one. He says the board will take no impulsive actions and will involve the community in turning the district around.
