Governor Matt Blunt (R-MO) has signed the bill increasing the pay of workers at Sheltered Workshops. The bill increases the amount the state pays to Sheltered Workshops from the present $65 per work week per employee to $95.
The bill does not, however, restore government sponsored health care for Sheltered Workshop employees. A separate bill waiting for the Governor’s signature makes it easier for eligible sheltered workshop employees to get insurance.
