State Education Department Rejects Accreditation Appeal From St. Louis

June 12, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

The State Education Department has rejected an appeal by the St.Louis school district regarding accreditation.

The district objects to the state’s plan to take over management of the district and had asked State Education Commissioner D. Kent King to reconsider the district’s loss of accreditation. King says the district has presented no new or corrected information to justify a reversal of the state’s action.

The issue goes to court in Jefferson City tomorrow.
