The State Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control is renewing its investigation into the last hours of the life of St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Josh Hancock.

A spokesman says investigators have talked to a patron at the restaurant where Hancock had been drinking earlier that night and will soon talk with ESPN baseball analyst Dave Campbell, who is reported to have been in the bar with Hancock. The restaurant customer has told reporters in St. Louis that Hancock was clearly drunk while at the restaurant.

Last week, the Division said it had found no evidence employees of Mike Shannon’s restaurant had known Hancock was drunk.
