Arrest Made in Killing of Kansas Girl

June 7, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

A suspect has been arrested in the kidnapping and murder of a suburban Kansas City teenage girl, and will be charged with her killing. The body of Kelsey Smith was found near Longview Lake in southern Jackson County Wednesday afternoon. A few hours later, police arrested 26-year-old Edwin R. Hall of Olathe, Kansas.

Investigators also have been in touch with police in Belton, where a 17-year-old girl has been missing for a month. Karla Kopetsky was last seen at Belton High School. She never got home.
