The Kansas City Royals snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 4-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Devil Rays on Friday night. Brian Bannister allowed two hits in eight innings and won for the first time as a Royal.  The offernse was keyed by a  three run second in which Mike Sweeney scored on a wild pitch  after roping a triple, then Tony Pena and Esteban German delivered RBI singles.  Emil Brown added an eighth-inning RBI double for KC which plays game 2 of a 4 game set against Tampa Bay Saturday night.
