A report in Kansas City says the top candidate for the Presidency of the University of Missouri has turned down the job.

The Kansas City Star reports former plastics company executive Tom Sutter has declined the offer. The newspaper says Congressman Kenny Hulshof (R-MO) also is no longer a leading candidate.

A University spokesman says there is now no plan for an announcement today.

Curators are meeting in Columbia today and had been expected to announce a new President.
