The Kansas City Royals lose their sixth straight game, dropping a 6-2 contest to the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday night at Kauffman Stadium.

The Royals actually had the lead in the game, going up 1-0 on Mark Teahen’s 5 th home run of the  season in the 1 st inning. But the O’s scored two in the 2 nd , including one on a solo home run by Kevin Millar, his fifth of the year.

After trading runs in the 3 rd , the Orioles put three on the board in the 6 th inning to take control of the game.

Baltimore starter Jeremy Guthrie (3-1) pitched 7 innings for the win, giving up just three hits. Kansas City starter Jorge De La Rosa (4-5) pitched 5 innings, giving up five earned runs on eight hits.

The Royals (19-34) and Orioles go at it again Wednesday night at Kauffman Stadium, with Gil Meche (3-3) taking the hill for the Royals against Baltimore’s Erik Bedard (3-3).
