The fatality numbers from Missouri’s highways and waterways during the holiday weekend:  Eleven dead on the roads, four dead in the waters of the state.

Highway Patrol troopers worked 325 accidents with 139 injuries.  Local police agencies handled several more.

Not a good holiday weekend for Missouri’s water playgrounds either.

The state water patrol’s Lieutenant Nick Humphrey says four people drowned.  A couple was hurt in a boat explosion at the Lake of the Ozarks. Two people lost fingers in two accidents there.

The water patrol counted 14 accidents with nine injuries and says it made 34 drunken boating arrests.  Humphrey says the water patrol made 118 drug arrests.
