The Kansas City Royals lose another close one, this time dropping a 5-4 10 inning affair to the White Sox in Chicago on Saturday.

Juan Uribe got the White Sox on the board first with a solo home run in the 1 st inning, his fifth homer of the year. Chicago scored a second run in the 2 nd inning before the Royals struck in the 4 th .

The Royals scored four runs in the top of the 4 th , two of them coming on a two-run blast belted by catcher John Buck.

Ryan Sweeney’s home run in the 5 th inning brought the Sox to within a run. They tied it up in the 9 th to force the contest into extra innings.

In the 10 th , former Royal Jermaine Dye’s single drove in the winning run, giving the White Sox their 5-4 victory.

Mike MacDougal (1-0) gets the win.  Brandon Duckworth (0-3) took the loss.  The Royals (11-26) and White Sox (18-15) wrap up their weekend series Sunday afternoon.
