The Kansas City Royals dropped their fourth game in a row, losing a 8-1 decision to the Oakland A’s at Kauffman Stadium on Tuesday.

Royals starting pitcher Jorge De La Rosa (3-3) took the loss. He lasted 4.1 innings, giving up 6 runs, five of them earned, on 10 hits.

Oakland starter Chad Gaudin (2-1) pitched 8 innings for the win.

The Royals lone run came in the 3 rd inning, when Mark Teahen drove in David DeJesus, which narrowed Oakland’s lead to 3-1 at the time.  But the Royals could get no closer, as the A’s scored a run in the 4 th and two more runs in the 5 th to put the game out of reach.

The Royals and A’s go at it again Wednesday night at the K, with Gil Meche (3-1) going to the mound against Oakland’s Dan Haren (3-2).
