Cardinals Come Up Empty Against Reds

April 25, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

No matter how hard they try, the Cardinals just cannot seem to get things going this year.  So far this season, it has been one step forward, two steps back.

Yesterday’s game was a disaster, a 10-3 beating at the hands of the visiting Cincinnati Reds.  The Cards offense was shutdown by Cincy starter Aaron Harang, who allowed just two runs in over seven innings of work.

The Birds’ pitching staff, on the other hand, gave up 10 runs on 17 hits.  Most of the damage came off starter Kip Wells, whose record fell to 1-4 with the defeat.

The team will try and right the ship this evening.  First pitch at Busch is 7:10.
