Man Fleeing Cops Jumps into Moat and Drowns

April 23, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

A man running away from security officers at the Isle of Capri Casino in Kansas City has jumped into the moat around the casino and has drowned. Officers say a check of Anthony Swopes’ identification showed he was wanted on a Kansas City warrant. When officers asked Swopes to go to an office for questioning, he fled, and jumped into the moat, which has about 15 feet of water in it.
