MSU Professor’s Prior Child-Rape Conviction Stirs Controversy

April 11, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

Leaders at Missouri State University in Springfield say they have no plans to fire a professor who is currently at the center of a controversy over his child-rape conviction.  But, they will be moving his classes to a building away from the campus child-care center.   Michael Hendrix’s crime dates back to the 1980’s. MSU says he was a sex offender when they hired him.  The teacher’s past conviction was recently brought to light when an MSU student spread the information on campus.
