The state Transportation Department says spring cleaning shouldn’t stop inside . MODOT is encouraging residents to take part in its "No More Trash! Bash" campaign. Spokesman Melissa Black says the campaign aims to do more than clean up Missouri roadways, but to discourage residents from littering in the first place. Black says MODOT spends nealry $6 million a year on picking up litter along the highways and she says that doesn’t even begin to touch the problem.  She says residents can log onto www-dot-no-more-trash-dot-org to find more information on how to volunteer.
