Vouyoukas hopes to impress scouts

April 3, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

Saint Louis University center Ian Vouyoukas will make a case to hear his name during the NBA draft. Vouyoukas accepted an invitation to play in the Portsmouth Invitational which showcases the nation’s top seniors in front of NBA and European scouts.

Vouyoukas averaged 12.4 points and 7.4 rebounds per game in a disappointing 2006-07 season for the Billikens. His 135 career blocked shots is an all-time best at SLU.

Vouyoukas entered his name in the NBA draft after the 2005-06 season, but withdrew after displeasure with his projection.
