The NFL announced its preseason schedule Monday and both the Rams and Chiefs will open with road games.

The Rams will travel to Minnesota and play the Vikings to begin play. It will be the first time the two teams meet in the preseason since 1997. The San Diego Chargers and NFL MVP LaDainian Tomlinson will come to St. Louis in Week 2. The Oakland Raiders will host the Rams in Week 3. The preseason finale will pit the Rams against the Chiefs in the Governor’s Cup.

Kansas City has a similar schedule hosting two games and traveling for two. The Chiefs will travel to Cleveland in Week 1 before hosting Miami the following week. Both the Browns and Dolphins are heavy suitors of Chiefs quarterback Trent Green. If he is traded to one of those teams it won’t be long before he faces his old teammates.

New Orleans will visit Arrowhead Stadium in Week 3 and finish the preseason with the Governor’s Cup.
