Linebacker Mitchell Leaves Chiefs For New York

March 28, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

Chiefs linebacker Kawika Mitchell has found a new home in New York.  The free-agent veteran agreed to a one-year deal with the Giants worth one million dollars.

Mitchell spent the past four years in Kansas City, recording 118 tackles just last season.  He will likely play outside linebacker in New York, who have Pro-Bowler Antonio Pierce installed in the middle.

Mitchell was the Chiefs’ second-round draft pick in 2003.  He started 50 of 559 games with KC.
