March 13, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

There is a new man at the helm of the State Transportation Commission. Jim Anderson of Springfield has begun a one-year term as Chairman of the Commission, replacing Bill McKenna. In addition, Duane Michie of Hayti will serve as Vice-Chair, replacing Marge Schramm.

Both Anderson and Michie have served on the Commission since 2001. McKenna and Schramm will remain on the panel until they are replaced by Governor Matt Blunt.

Anderson has served as President of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce since 1988. Michie is chairman of the Board of First State Bank & Trust Company and chairman of the board of First State Bancorp of Caruthersville.
