For the second time in the past three seasons, the Central Missouri men’s basketball team is going dancing.  A 59-56 win over Pittsburgh State in the finals of MIAA tournament gave the Mules the title of conference champion and earned them a number one seed in the NCAA Division II South-Central Regional Tournament.

UCM’s Zack Wright led all players with 21 points and eight rebounds.  The Mules created 12 steals and forced 17 Gorilla turnovers.

"I am really proud of my team because they fought back.  We struggled, we couldn’t score for awhile, and then we had guys step up," Central Missouri Head Coach Kim Anderson said.

The Mules open up postseason play this Saturday against St. Edwards.  Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
