Stefhon Hannah made quite the impression on teammates and fans this season.  Now you can count several league coaches among those impressed.

The Missouri Tiger guard was named Newcomer of the Year by the Conferences Coaches over the weekend.  In addition to that unanimous selection, the junior-college transfer was also named to the All-Big 12 Third Team and the league’s All-Rookie Team.

MU finished last year with a record of 12-16, its worst mark since the 1967-68 season.  Under the guidance of first-year head coach Mike Anderson and led by the stellar play of Hannah, Mizzou sports a record of 18-11 heading into this week’s Big 12 Conference Tournament.

In his first season at Missouri since transferring from Chipola Community College, Hannah is averaging 15.6 points in 29 games.  He currently ranks fourth in the Big 12 with 135 assists, and with 71 steals this year, he needs just six more to break the Tiger record for thefts in a season.
