Mizzou guard Keon Lawrence was named Big 12 Rookie of the Week. Lawrence averaged 21 points and eight rebounds in the Tigers two wins over Baylor and 18 th -ranked Oklahoma State.

Lawrence scored a career-high 24 points against Baylor, the most points scored by a Missouri freshman since Kareem Rush dropped 31 against Texas Tech during the 1999-2000 season. Missouri has claimed four R.O.W honors this year. Backcourt mate Stefhon Hannah has won the award three times this season.

Lawrence has helped the Tigers to a 3-1 record since being placed in the starting lineup. He was 9-of-13 shooting against Baylor including 4-of-6 from 2-point range. He also grabbed a career-high eight rebounds, dished out two assists, and blocked two shots with no turnovers.

The following game versus the Cowboys, Lawrence continued his hot play scoring a game-high 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting.

Mizzou is back on the court Tuesday, Feb. 20 at home against Oklahoma. The Tigers have beaten the Sooners the last three meetings.
