Atlantic-10 Conference leading Rhode Island disposed of Saint Louis University 83-67 at home on Wednesday night. It was the Rams first-ever win over SLU. The Billikens lost their second consecutive game.

The two teams were only separated by two points before Rhode Island finished the first half with an 18-2 run, going into halftime with a 41-23 lead. The lead stretched to as much as 22 points in the second half. Will Daniels scored a team-high 19 points for the Rams while Jimmy Baron added 17 on 5-of-6 from behind the arc.

SLU was led by Tommie Liddell’s 23 points. Luke Meyer pitched in 13 and Kevin Lisch added 10.
