The Blues snapped their two-game losing streak doubling Columbus 4-2 on Wednesday night.

Rookie David Backes recorded his first two-goal game in the NHL, scoring his third and fourth goals of the season.

Bill Guerin and Dallas Drake added the other scores for St. Louis. Manny Legace was efficient in the net stopping 20 shots.

St. Louis is 2-2 against the Blue Jackets, but both victories came in shootouts. Wednesday night was the Blues first regulation win over Columbus this year.
