February 13, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

An accident involving a snow plow in western Missouri leaves one woman dead. The state Highway Patrol says the accident occured early this morning on Highway 24 about 4 miles west of Lexington. Officials say 50-year-old Frances M. Catron was traveling westbound when she lost control of her vehicle and slid into the path of a MoDOT snow plow traveling eastbound.

They say the plow struck Catron’s vehicle on the driver’s side. Emergency officials pronounced Catron dead at the scene. The driver of the snow plow, 49-year-old Wayne A. Ewing, was not hurt.
