Rams head coach Scott Linehan hired an old friend to fill the offensive quality control position. Keith Murphy was hired for the job, he coached with Linehan at the University of Washington from 1996-1999. Murphy will replace Randy Hanson, who is reportedly joining the Oakland Raiders as an assistant secondary coach.
Murphy has spent the last eight seasons coaching wide receivers and special teams at Eastern Washington University. He played wide receiver on two Pacific 10 Conference championship teams at UW.
