Man charged with with kidnapping, held on $1 million bond

Police have arrested 41-year-old Michael J. Devlin of Kirkwood, Missouri and charged him with one count of kidnapping in Union, Missouri on January 12, 2007. Devlin is being held on $1 million bond after police found two kidnapped children alive and in good condition in his Kirkwood, Missouri apartment on January 12, 2007. Found were 13-year old William “Ben” Ownby who was kidnapped on January 8 as he walked home from school in Beaufort, Missouri in Franklin County, about sixty miles southwest of St. Louis. Police were surprised to also find 15-year-old Shawn Hornbeck, who has been missing from his Richwoods, Missouri home for four years. Police gave little details.
