Two Straight for Note

January 11, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

Dallas Drake rescued the Blues scoring the go-ahead goal midway through the second period as the Note beat New Jersey 3-2.

Keith Tkachuk and Dan Hinote both scored for the Blues, who ended their three-game road trip with two consecutive victories. Manny Legace was solid in the crease stopping 24 shots, 13 in the third period.

If not for a horrendous start under former head coach Mike Kitchen, the Blues could be in good shape for the postseason having won eight of their last 11. But as it stands, St. Louis is still at the bottom of their division.

It’ll be a matchup of bottom feeders when the Blues host the Kings Saturday night.
