How do the Britain Chiefs look? Or how about the Germany Chiefs? Well, chances are you won’t have to worry about any name changes, but the Chiefs are one of six teams being considered as a home team for regular-season game next year in Britain or Germany.

The other teams are San Francisco, Seattle, Buffalo, New Orleans, and Miami.

A renovation project at the Truman Sports Complex is set to begin in March and could take up to three years to complete. Chiefs president/general manager Carl Peterson thinks the construction will be an inconvenience to fans and so they won’t mind giving up a home game.

“We’re going to be under construction at Arrowhead,” Peterson said. “We can’t stop playing because we’ve got over 70,000 season-ticket holders, and I wouldn’t know what to do with them…”

“We’re going to play through those renovation years, and we thought because of the inconvenience to our fans, they wouldn’t mind giving up a game.”

No timetable is set as to when a team will be selected. The site of the game should be announced sometime next week.
