Andy Murray has instilled an upbeat sound to the Blues these days. In the 12 games since Murray took over for the fired Mike Kitchen, St. Louis is playing .500 hockey at 6-3-3. Lee Stempniak and Dennis Wideman scored power-play goals to lead the Blues to a 2-0 blanking of Chicago Thursday night.

Blues goalie Manny Legace stopped 28 shots to record the 15th shutout of his career. St. Louis has not surrendered a first period goal since Murray took the reigns. The 12 game stretch is the longest since the Kings shutout 12 straight opponents in the first period during the 1974-75 season.
