ACORN Hire Charged With Election Fraud

January 5, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

A Kansas City woman hired by a social activist group to register voters for the November elections has been indicted by a federal grand jury for election fraud. Carmen Davis is also charged with identity theft. Federal prosecutors accuse Davis of using the Social Security number of Latisha Reed to become part of Project Vote, a voter registration drive sponsored by the non-profit group ACORN. ACORN assigned Davis to gather signatures in minority neighborhoods in Kansas City. Prosecutors say she submitted three false voter registration applications to the Kansas City Board of Election Commissioners.
