Christensen Staying Put

January 4, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

Mizzou lost its bowl game and almost lost its offensive coordinator too. Dave Christensen was a candidate for the Central Michigan head coaching job, but has since removed his name from the list.

“We have so many great things happening at Mizzou with our program, and I want to be a part of what is an exciting future,” Christensen said in a release issued by MU. “This was a valuable experience for me to go through, and I wish Central Michigan nothing but the best, but the search process was taking long enough to where I feel it is now time to move forward.”

Missouri’s offense gained a school-record 5,533 yards this season. They averaged 425.6 yards per game ranking second in the Big 12 Conference and ninth in the nation.
