Carnahan Ends Speculation She’ll Run for Governor

December 28, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

Secretary of State Robin Carnahan has ended speculation the Democrats might have a primary fight for the Governor’s nomination in 2008. She’s going to seek another term as Secretary of State. A spokesman for Carnahan says the Secretary of State has decided this is not her time to make such a run. The spokesman says Carnahan has finished successful treatments for breast cancer and is planning on getting married. Her boyfriend popped the question on Christmas day. Attorney General Jay Nixon has been openly campaigning for Governor for months. Governor Matt Blunt has not said if he’s going to seek another term although he has raised about two-million dollars for a campaign.
