St. Louis running back Steven Jackson accomplished quite the rarity Sunday against Washington. His feat was so uncommon that even Marshall Faulk never broke the statistical barrier. Jackson gained 150 yards rushing and 100 yards receiving in the same game. Add that up, and he is the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Jackson has racked up 1,386 yards rushing on the season and now ranks fifth in the league in that category. He trails only San Diego’s LaDanian Tomlinson in the total yardage department, and his 88 catches place him first among running backs and fifth overall.

Jackson heads into this Sunday’s season finale against Minnesota needing only 91 yards to move past Eric Dickerson and into second place on the Rams’ list for total yards in a season. Faulk’s 2,429 yards in 1999 rank first in franchise history.

Kicker Jeff Wilkins and Punter Matt Turk were both named NFC special-teams players of the week earlier this season.
