The man known in the 19-80s as the “Westport Rapist” has pleaded guilty to six counts of rape and six more of sodomy. In return for his guilty plea, Gary Lee Jackman will not be charged with 25 other rapes he admits to. DNA linked Jackman to the six rapes. He’s already in prison, has been since 1990 for a robbery in Liberty during which a clerk was molested. He’s doing life for that conviction. His new life sentence for the rapes will run concurrently with that one.
