Rams Game Blacked Out in St. Louis Area

December 22, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

Blackout is a word no fan wants to hear when it comes to their ability to watch a favorite team on television. But one will be in effect this weekend in St. Louis, where the Rams game will not be televised thanks to the NFL’s sellout rule.

The NFL prohibits any game from being shown on local TV if it is not sold out by noon Thursday. Since that did not happen, St. Louis-area Rams fans will be left in the dark come Sunday.

It is the first time since the Rams moved to St. Louis in 1995 that a game will not be televised locally. The Saints-Giants game will be aired instead.
