Thousands Attend Hunt Memorial Service

December 20, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

2,000 people showed up at the Community of Christ Auditorium in Independence, Missouri, yesterday to pay their respects to deceased Chiefs founder Lamar Hunt. The memorial service crowd was a mix of former players, coaches, as well as complete strangers who, much like Hunt himself, shared a passion for the game of football, and the Chiefs of Kansas City.

Among those in attendance were Hall of Famers Marcus Allen and Len Dawson, as well as Lions CEO Matt Millen.

Ex-Chiefs coaches Marty Schottenheimer and Dick Vermeil also paid their respects.
