Central Missouri has received its highest men’s basketball ranking since 1985. The Mules are third in the latest Division II coaches poll after starting the season 7-0. UCM is in the Las Vegas High Desert Classic where they’ll test their unbeaten record against Seattle Pacific tonight.

The Mules defeated Pittsburg State 87-67 in its last outing. Division II National Player of the Month for November Zach Wright scored 33 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Mules. Wright has poured in 19.3 points per game this season. Three other Mules have averaged in double figures. Alonso Brooks is averaging 13.7, Darryl Sommerset adds 12.6, and Theo Jones scores 11.1.

Wright averaged 20.7 points per game in November aided by a career-high 28 points against Lincoln. The Arkansas-Little Rock transfer collected 17 assists and 15 steals while averaging five rebounds per game in November.
