Menshikova Honored by Coaches

December 15, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

Saint Louis University volleyball made the NCAA tournament for the first time in school history this season. For the second time in school history, a Billiken player earned All-American honors.

Senior outside hitter Tatyana Menshikova was named an honorable mention All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. Menshikova joins Aida Antanaviciute (2004) as the only Billikens to ever receive such honor.

Menshikova’s 4.53 kills per game were enough to lead the Atlantic 10 Conference. She finished the year with 358 kills in 79 games. Menshikova ended her career 10th on the all-time kills list with 933.
