Senator Bond gets a major appointment in Washington. He’ll be the vice-chairman, the ranking member, of the US Senate Intelligence Committee. Bond has been on the committee since 2003. Although he’s often criticized Democrats on the committee, and been a strong defender of Bush Administration intelligence policies, Bond is now pledging bipartisan cooperation.
