The cost of tickets to a college bowl game, hotel reservations, and travel expenses can often times be too much for students. Such is not the case for students at the University of Missouri.

The MU athletic department is handing out free tickets to the Sun Bowl game Dec. 29 in El Paso, Texas. Yes, handing them out… for FREE. The only stipulation is that you must have MU student identification and there is a limit of two tickets per student. Tickets will begin being handed out at noon. Along with free admission, the school is also offering a package that includes a four day trip to the game – bus transportation and hotel included – for $100 per person.

Tickets will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis until all tickets are gone or until 5 p.m. on Friday. The free tickets are a part of the 8,000 Missouri is responsible for. It is an attempt to increase the expected fan support for Mizzou at the game. Some bowl organizers were scared away from inviting the Tigers because of a lack of fan support during the season.

The bowl trip leaves from Columbia on Dec. 27 and returns on Dec. 30.
