Blunt Holds Ameren Responsible for Finding Solution to Power Outages

December 7, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

Governor Blunt says Ameren UE is responsible for finding the the solution to the company’s massive power outages. The utility’s last outage that left over a half a million without power after last weeks winter storm came just months after a summer outage in the same areas. Blunt says this trend’s got to stop. Crews of National Guard members are still in the St. Louis area helping residents with last week’s blackout that affected more than 500-million people. Blunt said it would be a good idea to explore options for reimbursement for the cost of deploying those soldiers.
