Missouri’s next State Auditor is looking forward to getting to work in her new job. Auditor-elect Susan Montee moves into her new role in January. And, she’s losing no time learning the ropes. Montee has been spending quite a bit of time in Jefferson City, getting some advice from current Auditor Claire McCaskill who, in January, becomes Missouri’s newest U.S. Senator. Montee says she has several priority audits in mind, including one of MOHELA – the Missouri Higher Education Loan Authority. But that is only one of several issues she intends to tackle in the early going. Montee says one of the keys to success in the new job will be a quality staff. She says she has asked each of the current staff members to remain on the job after the changeover in January.
