One woman who works at an animal clinic across the street from the Anderson Guest House calls it a horrible sight. Patrice Lasiter witnessed the fire that burned the Guest House killing 10 and injuring 25, with 19 hospitalized. She says just a burnt shell is all that’s left of the institution for the elderly and mentally disabled. One resident of the Guest House visits the animal clinic daily to check in with the office’s cat. Lasiter says no one from the clinic knows if their daily visitor survived the fire.
