Five citizens groups in the Kansas City School District will be meeting together this week to plot the future of the District – and it might include closing some schools. Studies show about one-third of the space in occupied buildings is going unused. The District has several old buildings that need repairs. Consultants will meet with the combined groups Wednesday night to outline a series of suggestins. The Kansas City District has about 25,000 students.
