The Carolina Panthers have no intentions on showing opponents any southern hospitality. Carolina’s defense showed their rudeness sacking Marc Bulger seven times and shutting out the Rams 15-0.

St. Louis was blanked for the first time since 1998. They came into the game averaging 22 points a contest. Even when Bulger managed to get a pass off, his receivers did not help out much. The Rams dropped five passes including three by Isaac Bruce. Bulger finished the day 19-of-34 for 142 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception.

Steven Jackson was nearly a non-factor gaining 27 yards on just seven carries.

DeAngelo Williams filled in for the injured DeShaun Foster at running back and slashed the Rams defense for 114 yards on 20 carries.

St. Louis has dropped five games in a row. They host division-rival San Francisco this weekend.
