Governor’s General Counsel Appointed Head of Health Department

Governor Matt Blunt has moved quickly to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Julie Eckstein as Director of the State Department of Health and Senior Services. He’s appointed Jane Drummond to the post. Drummond is currently the general counsel for the Governor’s office. She previously served as general counsel for the Health Department. Drummond will begin work at the Department in the coming weeks, with outgoing Director Eckstein aiding in the transition. No reason has been given for Eckstein’s resignation.
