Truman State Advances To Regional Semis

November 10, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

Truman State, playing host to the South Central Regional, took care of business in the first-round of the NCAA Division II playoffs defeating Albany State 30-14, 30-14, 30-22. The country’s top-ranked team pummeled Albany State in all facets of the match led by Lauren Graybeal’s 12 kills.

The lopsided victory gave Bulldogs coach Jason Skoch a chance to play some of his younger players. Almost the entire Truman squad played in the match, gaining some valuable playoff experience.

Truman displayed its serving prowess acing 11 serves. Their defense, which likes to hold teams under .200 hitting percentage, held Albany State to .037.

Truman will face North Alabama tonight in the regional semifinals.
