The Blues struck first, but the Blue Jackets stung more often as Columbus used four goals in the second period to skate away with a 4-2 win at the Scottrade Center.

All six goals were scored in the second period. It was full of power-play opportunities. Bill Guerin put one power-play chance to good use getting the party started with a goal that put the Blues up 1-0. Columbus wasted little time evening things up as Rick Nash scored less than three minutes later to make it 1-1. Keith Tkachuk put the Blues ahead again with his fourth goal of the season. That is when the problems started for Blues goalie Manny Legacy. He gave up two goals to Rostislav Klesla and failed to stop a short-handed goal by Dan Fritsche. Legacy’s sloppy play caused him to be replaced by Curtis Sanford to start the third period.

St. Louis has dropped two straight and fell to 4-10 on the season. They will be back on the ice tonight at Chicago.
