Although they are well behind in their respective races, the Libertarian candidates in the U.S. Senate and State Auditor races can claim a victory of sorts. To guarantee a position on the next Missouri ballot, the Libertarian party needed to obtain at least 2% of the vote. Frank Gilmore, Libertarian candidate for U.S. Senate, has just under 2.5% of the votes in his race and Charles Baum (State Auditor candidate) has nearly 3%.
